Standard Life struck gold at the Money Marketing Financial Services Awards on 05 March, winning the award for ‘Company of the Year' for the 14th Year.
Voted for by 1000 IFAs, the awards are the biggest event in the financial services awards calendar and an opportunity for all the major financial services organisations and their agencies to come together to celebrate the industry's finest. It's also an opportunity to walk away with one of the most respected accolades within the industry – the gold ingot.
As well as winning ‘Company of the Year', we also won ‘Best Pension Provider'. We came second in the ‘Best Healthcare Provider' and Standard Life Investments came second in the ‘Best Investment Fund Group'.
Alongside these wins, three companies we have invested in were also recognised on the night. RSM Bentley Jennison won ‘IFA of the Year', while 2plan Wealth Management was runner up. Meanwhile, Tenet Group was voted second in ‘Best Network and Support Services'.
Paul Matthews, Managing Director Distribution, UKFS, was on hand to pick up Standard Life's awards at the awards ceremony. Commenting on our wins, Paul praised the hard work of all involved in securing the wins. “There were many IFAs who approached us last night to say that the reason they continue to deal with us is because of our integrity, recently demonstrated by how we dealt with the issues surrounding the Pension Sterling Fund. As Managing Director of Distribution, I'm particularly proud of how our salesforce has managed relationships with advisers over the past few months; but this award also recognises all in Distribution, Communications, Marketing, Customer Service and our colleagues in Standard Life Investments who've played a role in managing the company's reputation during this time. Of course, it is not only our handling of this recent issue, but the fantastic work that all our people in the company did over the last year that has seen us pick up these coveted awards. Well done and thank you to all!”
