It finds that the penalty for not having a financial plan is not immediately recognised, but can have long lasting repercussions.

The results of this feedback led us to adapt our material issues to reflect our findings. Our report has been guided by the Global Reporting Initiative indicators and continues to build on the good work of our previous reports.

Standard Life has produced the Re-Run Generation report highlighting the pensions gap in 28 - 40 year olds with just half saving for their future despite being aware of the fact that they will live longer in retirement. The report indicates that this generation - coined as the 'Re-Runners' - are particularly fascinated by brands, products, music and culture from their youth and as a result struggle to think about the future feeling anxious about growing up and getting older.
