Research Report on UK Wills & Trusts

In October 2006, a research exercise was conducted to understand the precentage of the UK
population who have a will, have signed a power of attorney or have a trust. The results from this
were used to generate media coverage, with articles appearing in a number of national newspapers.
Following the high level of interest that the 2006 findings generated it was decided to carry out the
research on an annual basis.

The research found that 73% of people in Britain would use more sustainable and renewable energy in their homes if they understood more about it, and more than half either already adopt sustainable ideas or greatly admire those who do.
