Corporate responsibility (CR) means many things to many people. For some, it is about recycling, improving the environment or working to help local communities. For others, it is something more strategic and ethical – it’s about how you run your business to ensure it’s sustainable in the long-term.

Companies play an important role in the world around them and can have a major impact on the communities and environment in which they operate. At Standard Life, we take our CR responsibilities very seriously and are determined to pursue the highest standards at all times, in everything we do. To achieve this, we have devised a programme of diverse activities to which we are totally committed. We wish to achieve our objective not only because it is the right thing to do, but also because it’s good for our key stakeholders and the communities in which we operate.
